Saint Gobain Glass United Kingdom
As part of Saint-Gobain Glass UK’s commitment to Responsible Sourcing, we have a number of metrics which we constantly assess our performance against. These metrics concern our environment, both locally and globally, taking into account the amount of CO2 that we use, the amount of waste we send to landfill and our water usage across the site as well as improving our interaction with the local community.
Our aim is to reduce our impact on the environment year-on-year, from reducing our CO2 to increasing the amount we recycle.
As such, we have become the first glass manufacturer in the UK to be awarded the coveted BES 6001 accreditation “Very Good” standard for our responsible sourcing of materials. View our accreditation here.
Our aim is to reduce our carbon footprint through CO2 by 6% compared to 2010.
Our aim is to reduce our water usage across our factory by 6% compared to 2010.
Our aim is to improve our recycling across our factory and reduce waste to landfill by 10% compared to 2010.
Helping the Community:
As part of our commitment to our local community, we participate in STEM fairs, school visits and work placements at SGGUK.
